Brief History
Our founder Mr K G Nair, established Plastochem Fabrication in the year 1972 as a âPartnership firmâ at the Trombay Works. From a humble beginning, the Company grew and found the need to register as a Private Limited Company the under the Companyâs Act 1956 in Feb 1999. Being one of the pioneers in the FRP Industry and the motto of the Company being for Quality Product Supply and Customer Satisfaction, Plastochem grew by leaps and bounds over the years. A factory had been established in 1998 in Mysore, Karnataka to cater to the industries in South India. Plastochem Fabrication India Pvt. Ltd. today has grown to cater to various Business Conglomerates, Government Organizations over India and Abroad.
Management Team
Mr K G Nair â Founder, Chairman & Managing Director. Founded in the year 1972 as a Partnership firm, under the leadership of Mr K G Nair. Under the Over a short span of time Mr Nair had steered the Company to become one of the pioneers in the field of design and manufacture all kinds of chemical process equipment and complete systems including pipes and ductings.
Mr Suresh G Nair â Executive Director. A Mechanical Engineer by profession, under the guidance of his father, Mr K G Nair, has developed the Company into one of the top most manufacturers of in the FRP Industry. With over 25 years of experience in the field and his keen business acumen, The main areas of growth of Plastochem has been in FRP Tanks and Pollution Control Systems and Product/Acid Regeneration Plants. His main motto is âTotal Customer Satisfaction with No Compromise on Quality Product Manufacturingâ. Adhering to timely delivery schedules for factory commission has been one of his key objectives.
Dr M P S Ramani â Technical Director. Dr. Ramani is an outstanding Chemical Engineer having more than 30 years working experience in Bhabha Atomic Research Centre. In various capacities in the field of Nuclear Engineering, the last being as Head of the Desalination & Effluent Engineering Division. He has a PhD (Tech) in Chemical Engineering from the University Department of Chemical Technology, Mumbai. He has worked in the laboratories of Atomic Energy of Canada Ltd, Canada and Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), USA. While at ORNL the Governor of the State of Tennessee conferred on him `the Honorary Citizenship of the State of Tennesseeâ in recognition of his contributions in evolving the concept of Nuclear Powered Agro-Industrial Complex. He was a close associate of late Dr. Vikram Sarabhai, then Chairman of the Atomic Energy Commission. He was previously with BARC as Head of Desalination and Effluent Engineering Division (DEED). Dr. Ramani has made the technical capabilities of the Company versatile in areas far beyond those covered by the competitors.

We have a dedicated team of qualified engineers, experienced in design and manufacture, supported by more than 75 highly skilled workmen. The company has also complete infrastructure facilities for manufacture of systems and equipment of any size and design.

In-depth experience in plastic engineering, custom fabrication of Chemical Process Equipment and Plants to suit all operating conditions and conformity to National or International Standards is our area of expertise. The plants we offer for the control of emission of toxic gases are with performance guarantees to meet the standards stipulated under the Environment (protection) Act, 1986 or standards set by the various State Pollution Control Boards.

Infrastructure & Materials of construction

Our testing methods are through inspections ie. In-house Visual & dimensional checks based on approved drawing; hydraulic testing, anemometer testing, leak proof testing by spark tester etc. External Inspections are carried out for Tensile strength testing, glass content testing and lapshear strength testing of FRP laminates and bond strength testing welded specimen/dual laminates.
